Hi, I’m Kamal Farahani.

I am a senior software engineer and AI specialist dedicated to building clean, robust, and highly reliable systems. My technical world centers around backend engineering, artificial intelligence, and functional programming. I have a deep appreciation for architectural elegance, which often leads me to explore the depths of computer systems, advanced typing mechanics, and languages like Python and Haskell.

Driven by a passion for open-source and functional paradigms, I author and maintain Katharos, a functional programming library for Python. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of architecting complex platforms and managing software initiatives navigating strict real-world constraints.

When I’m away from the keyboard, I shift my focus from digital systems to physical and mental discipline. I practice Kyokushin Karate and practice mindfulness.
